Raw Communicator - Free java chat with rooms, private messages,

The raw|communicator is a chat utility that offers you the following features:

Socks+http proxy support
Raw|communicatior is able to exchange data via sockets or http-protocol and supports both SOCKS and HTTP-proxy server - so its maybe even possible to tunnel your lovely messages through some firewalls.

Rooms
There are some server-defined rooms and additionally the users have the possibility to create their own rooms. Rooms can be free for all or password protected.

Favorites and private messaging
You can add your favorite contacts to a list by entering the unique user id and you are always informed when your friends are online or you can send private messages to them.

No registration needed
Just download the zip-archive, unpack and start; -)


Skin support
There will be various skins for the raw|communicator. Currently 2 available.

Environment fully customizable
Changing color, font, name, time display and extended graphical features like the blinking eye during runtime.

Raw shell
Currently the raw shell is still very simple and offers commands like "find user" or "lastsign" to get informed when a specific user last typed a message.

Free
