HelpSmith is an innovative help authoring tool which you can use to create CHM HTML Help files, Web Help, Word RTF, PDF, and Printed Documents from a single source. The intuitive environment integrates a powerful Word-like Unicode word-processor with dynamic styles and live spell checker, advanced approach to working with graphical files, and many other unique features.
HelpSmith, the help authoring tool from Divcom Software, provides you with an easy way to create documentation from scratch and also lets you import help topics from HTML, Word RTF, TXT files that can be written in different ANSI and Unicode encodings.
With HelpSmith you can supply technical documentation for your own application in multiple help formats one of which is CHM files, a standard help format in Windows. HelpSmith has complete support for all the features of HTML Help, so you can create the hierarchical table of contents, alphabetical keyword Index, also you can customize chm viewer's help windows, etc..
If you are an experienced tech writer, HelpSmith includes the Import facility, making it possible for you to import your existing help projects stored in HTML Help Workshop (HHP files) or directly from html help CHM files.
