textPuppet 1.1 - produces scripts & audio for Poser lipsyn

textPuppet is software used to produce automatic 3d character animation for virtual personalities. Its simple, production oriented user interface takes text as input and produces complete scripts and audio files used for rendering high-quality lip-synchronized character animations in Curious Lab' s Poser. It also includes a unique, configurable automatic animation script generator which produces realistic blinking, facial expressions, and head and upper-body movements. textPuppet is also a highly configurable, high quality, standalone text-to-speech synthesizer. It automatically interprets text for pronunciation and emphasis, and also allows for further manual fine tuning of word emphasis and pronunciation through simple mark up. textPuppet is built with the high-quality Speechworks ETI-EloquenceTM speech synthesis engine. It' s voices are far superior to those in other text-to-speech applications (such as the Microsoft voices included in freeware text-to-speech applications). textPuppet comes with the U.S. English module. Additional modules are available in U.K. English, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish at this time. The base price of textPuppet, including the U.S. English language module, is $139.00. Additional language modules are available for $99.00 each. A demo version is currently available for download, and the release version will begin shipping on November 21, 2001.
